The international project ‘’We are Europe’’ took place in Asturias, Spain, 13 – 21st September. The main objective of the project was to develop critical thinking skills among the participants. The project created space to analyze the problems existing in different countries and highlight the relevance of politics for the well-being of society. During the project the participants spent a lot of time outdoors exploring Asturias’ amazing nature and sport activities. They also learnt about each other’s culture and traditions. One of our participants, Lilith shares her thoughts about the project:
”For the Armenian team, “We are Europe” was about support and mutual comprehension, and laughter. Since the project kicked off, we got along with representatives of over a dozen countries from all across Europe. At moments of desperation, we received all the hugs and massages. As a return, we boosted the life span of the group with Tom’s hilarious jokes. Also, we offered free workshops of origami. We truly enjoyed the international community created in the middle of nowhere in Spain, far from civilization. As a long-term outcome, we hope to enhance the diplomatic relations between each other and also get integrated into European civilization.”
